The under 16’s finised top of the ladder after defeating Alexandra Hills.
Alexandra Hills started the game strongly and led early, but was over run by a better team. Cameron Hughes played very well in defence while Scott Bode and Mitchell Johnson played strong running games.
Jimboomba started the 3rd quarter well with Brett Boyle displaying solid skills in defence, Steven Sedmak and Aaron Kirby ran strongly in attack with great support from U14 players Cole Stewart and Drew Fleming.
Good Luck in the finals, if we win this week you get a week holiday.

Under 12 T.J Kelly Southern Redbacks played Beenleigh at Jimboomba on Saturday.
The redbacks went out on a high after celebrating Josh Armstrongs 100th games with the Southern Rwdbacks.
Beenleigh being 6th on the ladder didn’t seem to be a threat to us but they went out with intensions of winning and hopefully climb higher up the ladder.
Josh Armstrong lead the team out followed by Capt. Nathan Byrnes, followed by the rest of the team.
Both teams played very good and hard football. Our leading scorers were
Ben, Alex bond, Bradley and Ty.
Players of the match were Reece Murrell, Bradley Leedham, Josh Foote and Josh Armstrong. Well done guys!
Final score was Redbacks 7. 5 = 47 Beenleigh 5. 6 = 36
Next game is at Yeronga at 10:30 am. Be there by 9:30am
Go Redbacks Go!

Well its good to be back after a bit a break. I hope you all had a nice holiday break and are all rearing to get back into football. ! I know i am….. it was also wonderful to come back and play on home turf. We played Aspley 2 who are currently no top of the ladder by 4 points. They came out thinking that game was going to0 be a little easy, but I know the Red backs had a little more determination then Asply did and we came home the victors! Asply 2 3-5=23 to the Redbacks 7-4=47
BIG THANKS TO THE FOLLOWING
thanks goes out Tim Tate under 14’s for coming and filling in as a part of the team, and to his family for bringing him. also Rod applewaite for ground marsh, Steve Chadwick for goal umpiring , first aid-Doug Armstrong, boundary umpire-Brett Bole, Karen and Sigrid Aery for scoring, and my faithful water carriers=Chris Leedham, Bread Fardig, Shane Bridges and James Gautrey.
AND A BIG THANKS to Tom and Lee Tait for time keeping for all the games held at Jimboomba that day.
Our team seemed to take a lot of marks at this game. Usually we don’t recognise the marks but I thought I might in this newsletter……just to be different.
